Hi everyone,
I am in a tough situation. This past fall semester has been difficult for me personally , the semester started out good, but towards the beginning of December, my father and brother were in a pretty bad car accident. Most of my attention was to looking after them (driving to doctor appointments, calling insurance companies, etc) I was taking calculus A and I didn't do so well on the final. This final grade brought me down to a C+. It's crazy how much one exam did that, but anyway. I think the final grade was like 79.6% somewhere in those lines. I told the professor about my situation and asked her if she rounded up grades, etc. She said she wouldn't. I talked to an advisor and she told me that I could possibly write a letter and ask for the class to be taken out of my transcript, due to my circumstances. Should I write such a letter given the probability that it might not even happen, or should I just take the C+? I could write a letter but even if it's accepted I'm afraid that my semester will look too easy bc with the calculus class out, my semester credits will come down to like 12credits.
