Should I release step 2 ck score?

I'm applying to pediatrics this cycle and my step 1 score is a 229. I just received my step 2 score, which is a 236. I was wondering if I should release it to programs or hold off since it is below average?

The median had been around 240 for several years. http://www.usmle.org/pdfs/transcripts/USMLE_Step_Examination_Score_Interpretation_Guidelines.pdf

That being said, 236 is a good score (especially for peds) so I would just release it. Some places won't rank you without step 2 ck and cs, so why not? I doubt it will hurt you.

I agree with releasing it. If nothing else, it shows consistency in your scores (which is not a bad thing). Besides, Step I scores are more highly valued than Step II scores.

Release it. More likely to add an invite for a program requiring CK than lose an interview for a "slightly below average" CK imo

I would say you should release your score. As others make good points above, your score is still higher than the average CK score for pediatrics! 🙂
