my exam is next week but so far in getting very mediocre scores on the two topscore tests that i took. I got 17s and 18s on the science sections, 18/19 on RC, 17/18 on Math, 18/18 on PAT. 🙁

You are gambling with the test if you are planning to take it in a week with those practice scores.

It'll be hard to guarantee that you will get 20's but it is possible.

If I were you, I would definitely study for a solid month (8-10 hours a day) then take it at the end of the June. You will still be an early applicant with much better stats!

i feel like i know my stuff but i'm not seeing the results when i take these practice tests. I have gone through Destroyer twice for each section. Read almost all of Cliffs Ap Bio and selectively read kaplan BB Bio as well, also Alanan's notes for Bio. What more can I do besides repeating the above?

Not to disrespect sfoskn, but I think if you are aiming for a 20 AA then you might just be ok. If you believe you are ready, and you have covered every single thing in kaplan BB, then you should consider taking the exam. A problem with alot of students is that they take mock exams to see how they are doing, where as the grading on the DAT is a lot different from these mock exams. Instead I suggest you use these mock tests to improve your timing, and to learn things you may have not learned. Simply take the exams as if you were taking the DAT, then sit down and go over every question (including the ones you got correct).
If you are aiming for a higher grade than a 20 however, I do suggest you reschedule until you are confident in your self.

Yep, he said at least 20AA so I suggested retaking 🙂
But despite all the advice we can give to you, it's really up to you and how ready you feel.

I also think you are ready for a 20AA with those test scores.
Many people get higher on real test, because Topscore is really hard.
I think you can at least pull off 19, and if you feel lucky, maybe even something higher than 20.

well, after taking everything into consideration, I pushed it back two weeks just in case. 🙂
