I am wondering if I should retake classes in inorganic chem? I transferred schools after my freshman year. Freshman year I took gen chem 1 (semester) and got a c- so it didn't transfer. Took gen chem 1 (quarters at new school) again sophomore year and got a B+, then gen chem 2 c+ and b+ in lab, then gen chem 3 c+ and A- in lab. I got these grades pretty much because I didn't know what I wanted to do at this point and wasn't studying hard. I am taking a fifth year next year and am a biology major and chem minor (go figure). Basically just wondering if it would be a good idea to retake gen chem 2,3 classes at a community college in the summer or just do my best in my remaining chem classes to show an upward trend? So far I have a C+ in Ochem 1 🙁, B+ Ochem 2 and B+ Ochem 3, and B in Biochem 1. Have yet to take quantitative chemistry and Biochem 3 (skipping Biochem 2). Luckily for my gpa, my biology grades are better. Any advice helps. Thanks!

well what are your sGPA and cGPA? how many more credits do you have remaining on your degree plan?

Both sGPA and cGPA are 3.3. Have 40 more credits towards biology degree and 8 more credits toward chem minor.

Keep in mind that AMCAS will include all classes from your first school in your GPA, whether they transferred to your new school or not.
