Should I retake DAT (super panicking)

Hello All,

I have just took DAT and my scores are:

AA: 18
TS:18
Bio:19
GC:17
OC:17
PAT:21
RC:22
QR:15 (tears)

GPA:3.7
Science: 3.71

I think most dental schools need at least AA of 19 to be consider for an interview.
Should I retake DAT? I am really panicking....

Hmm...I would say 'Yes' due to the fact that your GC & OC is low compared to other applicants. I am not saying that you won't get any interview invites with your current stats, because you do have great GPA. However, you want to be competitive, if not stand out as an applicant to Adcom. So, try to bring your TS up to 20+ and QR as well, other than that your other scores are great!😉

I also got a 15 in QR and ended up with an AA of 18 (PAT, ochem, gchem = 21, bio =18, reading = 18)(GPA: 3.88)
I applied to 6, received an interview to 5 (rejected without interview from 1,) and accepted to 2 and wait listed at 1 out of the THREE interviews I went on (withdrew from the last two interviews)

Hmm this one is tricky, I don't believe you need at least a 19 to interview though. Adcoms could be so random, I saw that UNLV held QR in high regard according to their little formula but they still offered me an interview with my 15 (QR)

I'd say yes, especially if you have time this summer. At a minimum bring everything to at least a 17 if not an 18. That should raise your AA to a 19 in the slightest. Great job on RC and PAT!

Yes, especially if you want to get into a good and/or cheap schools. It would be hard even getting into mediocre schools.

With a respectable sGPA like that, I think you could certainly do better. Don't leave anything under your control up to chance if you can help it.
