I have a C in my first semester in gchem and i was thinking if i should take it again just to get a high grade. I am a freshman and Im not sure if I should take it again before I graduate. I am packed with 2-3 labs every fall semester(gchem 1 is fall only at my school). Should I do that or just take an extra class that I dont need like human anatomy or microbio? Thanks!

hi! im actually in the same boat as you as a sophmore. my first semester gchem grade was a C- and im actually retaking it this summer. i recommend retaking it in the summer so u have time to take all ur other classes during normal school times 🙂

Most college take C's and up. so i can get away with it but it would just bring my gpa down. but since i already took it at a univ, i cant retake it somewhere else just to get a better grade. its either retake at my school before i graduate or take microbio/human anatomy instead.

can you really re take a class even if you didn't get a D or F in it and have it replaced?

wil dschools care that you took it twice?

If you retake it, AADSAS will take the average of the two grades. So A + C= B. Do really well on the gen chem section of the DAT and you won't have to retake it.
