Depends on a lot of things:

1. Your GPA
2. What's the average DAT for where you want to go?
3. Whether or not the schools you choose allow scores as low as 15

etc...

One school may say a 15 is too low for them and another may say your scores are acceptable to apply. Only you can decide if they are as high as you want. Obviously it would be nice to pull that QR up, but is it worth sacrificing what's really a solid total science score? Again, depends on the things I listed above.

I think in general, if that QR was 18+ it's a big fat NO RETAKE in most cases. You'll just have to see if the schools you want will let you apply with a 15.

15 QR may be too low... While general consensus is that QR is the section that is least considered, I think below 16 mark is a danger zone.

Besides, I would retake it just because I wouldn't be satisfied with 19 TS, especially considering the fact that you are good for 3.9 science GPA. I personally wouldn't settle for anything lower than 21 TS if I had a 3.9 sGPA. But that's just me.

But if you have already applied and DAT was the only thing missing, go ahead and take your chance. Your GPA may be good enough to look past it.

Realistically it would be nice to get rid of the 15 qr. It will affect your application at some schools (if they have cuttoff) but your stats are good enough to get in. Might not be the 22+ that everyone is getting on SDN but it definitely compares with the national average (19aa and 19ts) for matriculating dental students. 👍
