I am a first time user; I really need some feedbacks.
I took the DAT this month and i don't know if I should take it over cuz my PAT is really low:

AA: 18 ; my gpa is 3.5; science gpa 3.23
PAT:15
RC: 20
QA: 16
TS: 19 (Bio:19; Chem: 19; org.:18)
But if I do then it will be in 90 days... in November I'm afraid that will be late, I might have an even lesser chance of getting in.
I planning to apply to NYU, tufts, Pittsburg, BU, NJ, temple...
Please tell me what I should do?
Did anyone have similar DAT or grades got accepted to dental schools?
Thanks alot!

I had a 15 on the QR section and I know someone who received a 16 on the PAT, but those two scores on your report might bring you application down a bit. I think you still have a chance, but it wouldn't hurt to simply plan on retaking the DAT. If you get some interest in your application and all goes well then you should be fine - if not then you will have already prepared yourself to retake the test. Hold off on registering for it for a couple of months and see what prospects come your way. Best of luck!

hey thanks a lot!

If I were you, I'd apply right now and call up your schools and ask them if they think you should take the DAT over. It sounds like you haven't submitted your app yet--there is a processing period that tends to take about 6 to 8 weeks, so even if they want you to repeat the test, they probably wouldn't have to wait more than a month to receive your new score after they have your application. You should definitely get your app in as soon as possible and talk to the schools... they'll give you the best input and a lot of them are really nice.
