I literally just got out of my OAT and I am panicking about my physics score. I was wondering if you would advise me to schedule another test based on what I received on the one I took today today. Is it required to get 300 on all sections in order to get an interview?

Quantitative Reasoning- 360
Reading Comprehension- 320
Biology- 380
General Chemistry- 320
Organic Chemistry- 310
Physics- 280
Total Science- 320
Academic Average- 330

You may want to apply and just see what happens, or see what the schools have to say. Some schools will not accept subject scores below 300, but some will make exceptions. They may suggest that you retake the test. Contact the admissions offices of the schools to which you wish to apply.

Not to worry you, but physics is an important section because it's an important subject in optometry. I know someone who scored around 320 AA and received a 280 or 290 in physics, and that person was accepted to SUNY. Just be open about it and open to retaking it if it is suggested by the admissions committee/staff.

I think each school will ask you to retake it, but even so.. you did pretty good and your average is still 330... I'm sure you may get accepted somewhere with those scores.

You'll get in with those scores somewhere definitely if your GPA is above 3.0 The 380 in biology is supreme. Just apply and see what the individual schools have to say about retaking it. And you'll be taking 2 years of optics I believe so yea physics is important no matter what you do with the eye.

I know I'm a little late responding, but I had very similar scores to you, and a pretty high GPA (3.8ish). I scored AA 330 and TS 340, but my QR and Physics scores were both 290. I was still accepted to SCO and UCBSO, so anything is possible! Just go for it and stay hopeful! 🙂

you'll have no problem getting interviews, some schools may give you a conditional acceptance where you have to retake the OAT and get above 300 for physics.
