So I just took my PCAT today and overall, my composite was pretty good (87th percentile). But my verbal was 63th and reading was 32th percentile...

Should I retake to improve these sections? How closely do schools pay attention to the individual sections on the test? Will my 87th composite be okay to not retake?

You are fine. Just call the specific schools you are applying to and tell them what your scores are to see if you fit their minimum (if they have one)

87th percentile is a great composite!!! You should celebrate and be happy with your score🙂

what did you use to study?

Thank you! I'll be sure to do that

Dr. Colin's 🙂 The reading was very different from all the practice tests though, but his guide is pretty spot on about everything else.

I wouldn't retake honestly, most schools look at the BIG THREE and you did great. But just to make sure look to see if they have minimums on their subtest (only a few schools do, for example Ferris University asks that you get at least a 25 on VA AND RC, but they are taking that out too) Just call your school to double check, great job on the composite though!

A lot of feedback from today seems as though DrCollins didn't help them? Congrats on your exam!!! I'm taking mine tomorrow 🙁 scared!!!!

Don't retake unless your school has cut-offs for subsections. 87 is an extremely competitive score.

Did they have the updates? Did they understand rather than simply memorize the problems? The point of Collins is to give you problem sets with explanations and it is up to you to apply it to the questions on test day. If you have studied hard then you will be fine and understand that not everyone scores a 90+. Good luck!

Don't worries u can do it! if not good try it again next round. All of the people that posted high scores on SDN maybe its just 25% of the people who are applying this year and 75% of others lower score are unknown bc theyre are not on SDN or don't even wanna post. And u don't need a 90% to get accept! It's an overall application that u have. Good Luck tomorrow :luck:

I'll be happy with anything in the 80's LOL. I've been working extremely hard and practiced every dr. collins problem in depth. I'm currently practicing the pearson exams, however, I'm worried about time.

I'm feeling a bit wary now bc all the negative feedback from today's exam, Collins was my sole study material.. this is my 2nd time retake since july.

Hopefully things go well!! Thanks for the response!! 🙂

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine. The Dr. Collin's stuff was super helpful with the Chemistry, verbal and math. The bio I had to review my old notes, but the bio section on Dr.Collin was a good guide to what areas you should cover for bio.

GOODLUCK 😀
