A little background on me...My Junior year in high school I experience a very traumatic event. I graduated early because of it and jumped right into college. For over a year, I was not in the right mentality and had several W, F and D's 🙁. I eventually got it together and raised my gpa to a 3.2. I then attended a different college and received my BS in Dental Hygiene with a 3.88. Currently taking the remainder of my pre-reqs and have a 3.89. I just took my DAT and made the horrible mistake of trying to do all the general chem problems last (which is my worst subject). I ran out of time and had to select about 7 random answers; (Same problem with QR) I know some schools have minimum cut offs, especially in the sciences. I am extremely depressed about it, because the score is mainly due to a time management factor. Feed back would be great!

If your chem grade was a 19 I'd say you were in good shape since QR is the least important test, but I'm afraid a 15 in chem is going to really hold you up. Try studying and doing more timed practice tests. You will get faster and your scores should improve. Keep your head up

Thank you. I am also worried that by retaking in late October...will that be to late and even worth it?

I think submitting your DAT scores in late October/November will significantly hurt your chances given that the process is rolling.

Your scores are quite good to be honest, but I would definitely advise you retake if you think you can pull your GC score up! You can most certainly get a 20+ TS/AA with some minor improvements. Best of luck!

To kinda piggy back this thread, I'm also considering retaking my DAT after getting a 16 on GC. If we send in our apps first than send in the new score, will that hinder the application process? I want to send in my apps ASAP but I'm afraid they won't review it until my new score comes in. Any insight is much appreciated!
