If you have time and money go ahead. You have two things under 18. So.... It wouldn't hurt to try for higher.
If you have a GPA higher than 3.6 you should be ok. The 16 QR is low but a good GPA will compensate. Not a deal breaker though
You should retake, many school like to see your PAT at least over 18. It may be a deal breaker, but its not a long shot applying
Your PAT is way too low for the majority of schools.. Many schools weight the PAT the same as if not greater than TS.
I mean think about it, it's sort of an indicator of your current ability to adequately practice; knowing is half the battle, performing is the other.

i would say dont retake it. when u receive interview offers, do well on them and you will shine
Hi everyone,
Sorry didn't want to just create another thread so I have decided to borrow this one. Just took the DAT for the first time and I got the following...
QR: 15
PAT:18
RC: 20
Bio: 23
GC: 23
OC: 23
TS: 20
AA: 21
Sigh.. I am not sure how but for some reason I had a hard time with the QR section even though I was average around 20 in QR for all my practice exam. What do you guys think.. should I try to retake because of it..? I apologize again for hi-jacking this thread but I just didn't want to make another one.

Luckily we don't go to Dental school to do math every day. You are fine with a 23 TS. Don't retake and you will get a ton of interviews as long as everything else is good.Hi yes sorry you are right that was a typo!
You are 100% fineHi everyone,

So I just took my DAT and the timing in the PAT and QRT sections got the best of me. Below are my scores:
PAT: 16
QRT: 17
RC: 23
Bio: 20
GC: 19
OC: 21
TS: 20
AA: 20
I typically scored 18-20s on the PAT and QRT sections in my practice exams. I have been reading mixed reports on the importance of the PAT/QRT scores. I work 50-60 hours a week, so studying isn't very easy. I really want to get into school my first application cycle, would it be worth sucking it up and retaking the test? I really don't want those two sections to hurt me greatly when I apply.
Note:
Undergraduate GPA (Total, Science): 3.78, 3.66
Volunteer weekly
Work full-time as a Biologist in industry
Thank you in advance for any constructive/legitimate responses!

With your GPA, you probably don't need a retake, however, I personally would because it eliminates the chances of adcoms overlooking your application due to the 16PAT and 17QR.
Can someone please give me feedback on my scores?
I just retook the DAT and did better overall but dropped down to a 16 in QR which is below the 17 cut off for some schools.
Since I got a 19 the first time around, do you think I can still apply to the schools that have the cut off? My new scores have a huge rage but I'm really hoping to not have to take it again.

Looking for feedback on my DAT scores as well. Gpa not great 3.3, biochem major, 600 hrs as a RDA, lots volunteering and good letters of rec. Applying in Texas, and about 12 other schools. Hoping to get apps in super early to at least give me a shot.
