hello all! all the dental schools im applying to require only pre calc. i got a C in that class freshman year. should i retake it next semester?

Up to you but I say no need. I have a few C's on my report card and still got accepted to dental school. I'd think they'd prefer better sciences grades over math. Just be ready to explain if they ask.

i did bad in gen chem so should i retake that? ive had family issues all freshman year and half of sophmore year but my sophmore yr isnt too bad

I'd call the schools just to be sure.... but.... I wouldn't retake it.... is calc for crying out loud, who cares lol

well... isn't C the bare minimum required grade for any pre-dental course? Its been 3 years since I apply'd, I don't remember all the details, but I think bare minimum was C then (and still is)

no need for retake... its far more important to focus on overall GPA than a single class retake.
