Should I send an update to the schools that I am waitlisted to?

When I received notification that I was put on the wait list, I sent a letter of intent. It has been a couple of months since then and I am wondering if I should send them an update of the schools I have been accepted to and that I will be getting published in an ortho journal.

I don't think telling them of your other acceptances will help you in any way.

If you've been accepted elsewhere and you still have your heart set on the school where you were waitlisted, you could send another letter of intent saying you've been accepted to school X and despite that, you would still like to attend school Y because of _____ reasons. Good luck to you!

call them to make sure they got your letter of intent, but also send them any changes in your transcripts/mcat scores/ experiences
