Should I send the place I rotated at their own SLOR?

Like the title states, should I send programs I rotated at their own SLORs if I have extra SLORs to give them from other programs?

Or would this be sorta like an insult to that program, if this even remotely makes sense?

Thanks!

i definitely think you should send it - other committee members respect the opinions of their closest colleagues. if it sounds like other faculty want you there, so should those involved in giving out interview invites (even if this is the same group of people)

Considering that the factulty member who wrote the SLOR may not be the program director, or a member of the selection committee, seeing the actual letter would probably go much further than word of mouth of how you performed. So, yes. Especially if you rocked the rotation.

Thanks guys!

Thing is... I figured they might have a copy of the SLOR there....

I High Passed that particular EM rotation, my first one. But I honored my 2nd EM rotation and was thinking that maybe it was best if I sent them a solid SLOR from the director of the tox AND the EM PD.... instead of having to choose one of the two.

I already have one EM attending give me what I felt was a strong SLOR from the first rotation, and that one has already made it to the program in question.

So to make things simple as I probably have confused you all... I have a total of 5 letters.

1. SLOR - My own school's EM Chairman
2. SLOR - Rotation 1 (favorite attending)
3. SLOR - Rotation 2 (PD)
4. SLOR - Rotation 2 (Tox Director)
5. SLOR - Rotation 1 (Medical Student Director "compilation" SLOR)

So, my question is whether I should send SLOR #5 to Rotation 1 program... having already sent SLOR #2...

Rotation 1 was a highpass, Rotation 2 was an honors...

They already received SLORs 1-3... the question is whether I should send SLOR #4 or SLOR #5....

Thanks for the input so far though.... helped quite a bit!
