So I ended up with 1 DO interview, and 6 MD interviews. All the interviews went well, felt like I presented myself well, etc.

I like the DO program a lot, but my only hesitation is fellowship opportunities. The merger will probably make that less of a concern, but of course there are no guaruntees. On the MD side, I liked all the programs I interviewed at and would be thrilled to match at any of them.

For what it's worth, I don't have great COMLEX scores (sub-500 on I and II, and a 203 Step I.)

So would I be taking a huge risk in skipping the DO match?

How competitive are the MD programs? Do you have a good feeling about your ability to match at those programs (i.e. did you have any sub-i's at those programs, do those programs match DOs, etc.)?

I skipped the DO match because it would have pulled me out of my top overall choices which were all MD. I had similar scores to you. If you are strongly considering fellowship I might consider skipping the DO match.

Yeah, I did Sub-Is at two of the MD programs. They're all pretty DO friendly, with multiple DOs in each class.

You could ask them where they are in the accreditation process. If they haven't even started or don't plan on switching, then you have your answer. Opportunities.osteopathic.org lists each program and their accreditation status, but this site has a lot of outdated information so I would definitely double check with an email.
