Having a tough time deciding if I want to stay in state for college or go out of state for college. I know lot of kids at my high school want to go away from pittsburgh because they think it's lame. I'm looking at schools like Duquesne, Pitt, PSU, OSU, Loyola, RMU, Allegheny college, and University of Illinois at Chicago. Still researching more schools. I want to study pre med as an undergraduate. My GPA is 3.33 uw and 3.45 w. SAT is 1600 all reading, writing, and math. Which of those schools you guys think I will get into??? I applied to Pitt super early and finished July 1st. If I don't get accpeted into Pitt my main choice, than should I just go Duquesne or go out of state??? You think I could get accepted to Duquesne On regular decision??? Staying close to home vs going out of state. I'd really appreciate feedback. Senior year starts soon.

What do you want to major in?

And the general consensus on here is to save as much money as you can on your undergrad (as long as your happy) so you can minimize your student loans for medical school.

Undecided at this point but want to focus on pre med track as undergraduate.

You should apply to them all. Wouldn't hurt. However, in terms of deciding, see which college 1) you really really like and 2) you pay least for.
They're colleges in the end. You don't want a lifetime of loans.
As a local Illinoian, i should be rooting for my schools, but eh. 😛
