Hey guys,

At the end of this semester I would have enough credits and required classes for me to graduate. My GPA is only a 2.9, since I slacked off most of my college career not knowing what to do with my life. Within the past 6 months or so, I have decided on the path of pharmacy and have become much more devoted. I've also just taken the august PCAT and will be taking the oct one as well. I plan to apply for pharmacy school in fall '11. Would it be beneficial at all to delay graduating until spring and take some more upper level classes to raise my GPA? Or would it make no difference?

Thanks, I appreciate any advice!

I'd do it, just based on the feedback from a lot of people saying they wish they had. Hindsight is 20/20, so you can learn from it. Too late for them, but not for you!

The only caveat I'd put onto that is that if it'll be REALLY expensive, it might be worth it to graduate. But honestly, it'd be really good to be above the 3.00 GPA soft floor IMO.

I would stay and take more classes. I heard that pharmacy schools really like when applicants take upper division courses and do well in them. They take everything into consideration so if you didn't do well your first couple of years in college, then end with a big bang.

Thanks for the replies! I think i'll follow the advice and stick around for a bit longer.
