I am looking for some advice of whether I should still go through with my OAT retake in a couple of weeks. My scores from the first test are (RC:350, OC:340, Biology:300, GC:310, QR: 280, P:290). I was not happy with two of my scores being under 300 and have a retake scheduled in a couple of weeks. However, I don't know if I will be prepared enough or not for the exam having a heavy senior load, and I don't want to retake the OAT and receive a lower score.

I applied to eight schools and have received three interviews as of last Friday and have scheduled one at Midwestern and one at Pennsylvania. I have a 3.3 GPA and a good variety of both leadership experience, extracurriculars, volunteer work and experience in optometry/healthcare. I would love some feedback if anyone has a good way to approach my situation. I considered still studying as much as I can and if my final practice tests don't improve then I would opt to not retake the exam. In addition, if I didn't retake the exam does anyone know if I can remove the retake date from my OptomCAS?

Thanks! Sorry this is kind of long 😳

As per my opinion, I dont think you should. I believe you are competitive the way you are. Also, if you retake it and GOD forbid you get a lower score then you will have to apply with those scores. You are competitive. I got way lower OAT scores than you and I applied to 4 of schools. Got 3 interviews. Will be hearing back from them anytime. Hopefully some good news!

Good luck buddy!

I got similar scores; 290 on Physics and 290 on Organic with 320AA and 310TS. I have a 3.8 GPA with barely any experience shadowing doctors. I applied to 5 schools (UAB, Western, NOVA, SCCO, and PCO) and got invited to all of them for an interview! Hope this helps.
