I've finished my primary app, written a solid ps, got my transcripts and lor's together but I got a low MCAT score. I'm planning on retaking August 7th and will hopefully do much better this time around but my question is should I submit my primary app now with the low MCAT score or wait until I get my new score to submit??

I've also heard the same thing AlbinoHawkDO is saying. So we can just apply to one DO school, and add the rest later, and they'll recieve the app?

How about if we submit to all schools now, with a 26 MCAT, and then retake in August, and submit that score as well (considering its higher). Does that sounds like a good plan?

Definitely apply to at least one school and get verified. From what I've read, if you indicate that you're retaking the exam, they will not look at your app until that score is in. So it might be better to wait for your score and add schools based on your stats since they won't even look at your app without your retake.

Question: if the app is submitted with a tentative retake date, can you still get secondaries? Or is that based on how well you did on your first scored MCAT?

If the schools send out secondaries without the second MCAT and you are going to apply there regardless (state school), I'd apply now just so you can get started and have everything in when your score comes back.

I applied to all the schools on my list with one MCAT score listed and retake date planned for the end of July. So far, I've received secondaries from 11 schools.. I think that's all of them (on my list) that have sent out secondaries so far 😛 My first score is competitive for many DO schools (27) so it's possible you'd fare differently with a low score... but my general advice for those with middle-of-the-road scores would be to just apply as soon as possible.

I have no idea whether or not the review of my app will be held for my second score, so that's the real iffy part.
