Should I submit Secondary apps?

I get my MCAT scores back in a few weeks, but I have all my secondary apps completed and ready to submit. i don't mind paying the application fees even without my score. so my question is, is there any benefit to submitting my secondary apps now vs after i get my scores? also, if i decide not to apply after i get my scores, but my secondary apps are already in, would it look bad to withdraw at that point? thanks for the help

Wait until you get your score. If you bomb it you won't want to submit now and I dont think schools will put you in line to be complete until they have all of your stuff. Could be wrong about that last part though.

Good for you btw for getting all your secondaries done ahead of time.

Yup, wait until you get your score. Most schools will hold your app for review until they receive your latest scores (assuming you indicated you are retaking the mcat on your amcas application). This being the case, their isn't a real benefit to submitting now. However, if you do submit now and withdraw later, this can potentially look bad as it might count as a reapplication should you decide to apply next cycle.

If there are any schools you are particularly concerned about - it could be worth calling their admissions office and asking them their individual policies. Do they review apps before receiving your updated mcat score? While most won't, I know that some do (I believe ucsd is one of them...)

I would definitely wait until you get your score back. They're not going to be reviewing your application without an MCAT anyway and there's no sense spending all that money until you see the score
