Hi everybody,
I went unmatched during the last match season, and as I'm preparing for the upcoming season, optimising my CV, I started wondering if I should switch residency in my home country as a part of that "optimisation"
Currently I'm EM PGY2 in my home country and I am going to apply for IM in US (I want to continue my training in CC fellowship). In my country to become a Critical Care physician one should train in Anesthesia-Critical Care Residency program, so I was wondering if switching from EM to Anesthesia/Critical Care is a good idea.
I am thinking about this switch because I find my EM PGY2 status a bit hard to explain let's say in PS for IM residency application, and also, I think it might raise some questions
If I switch I will be allowed to continue my training as PGY2 in Anes/CC residency
any opinion is appreciated
