For all you that have taken step 1, did you take a prep class and did it help? my school had their first meeting about step 1 and mentioned the prep classes. They are ~$800. I have kaplans 7 volume book set for the test, but am not sure if I want to take the live course or not?

Is is worth the money to do it?
Can you stay focused to listen to them for 8 hours and then go home and study (do practice ?'s)?
Are the books good enough as long as you do qbank and webprep?
Which was better, Kaplan or princeton?

any info is appreciated! thanks

hi - i have a similar question --- for those of who took the live course, if you get the seven volume book set (say from a friend) would that be enough if you just plan to study them on your own and not go to the lectures? are the books complete or are you supposed to fill in the info as you listen in lecture?
also, what exactly is the difference between the home study books (2-volume) and the lecture notes books (7-volume). Are the home study books missing a ton of information??? i don't get it.

muchas gracias!!

anyone hear anything about the princeton review or kaplan courses??

which one is better?
