Learning comes in many forms.I graduated in 2018 and will be applying for med school in June 2021. My pre-health advisor is suggesting that I register for an upper-level science course for the Fall of 2021 and list it on my application as "Plan to take". My advisor thinks I should take a class because I have been out of school for three years and schools want to see that I am still learning. I feel like taking a class for that reason alone seems like a waste of money, but I am not sure if schools would have concerns that I graduated three years ago and have been working, shadowing, and volunteering since.
I would not enroll just to show you're "still learning."
