I am currently a junior, and my science gpa is not desirable for optometry school. I know this is what I want to do, and I am determined to get there no matter how long it takes. I am getting a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral and neuroscience.

To look more desirable to optometry admissions committees should I further out my graduation date and take a science based minor, if so, which should I go towards.

Thanks!

You need to ask yourself why your science GPA isn't good. If you're just not a science person, optometry is not for you. Schools will want to see that you can handle at least basic undergrad sciences, so yes, I would definitely say you should take more courses. 👍
