I'm currently enrolled in a post bacc program after graduating from college with a 3.86 and a major in economics. In my previous college I didn't take any sciences an am taking all of my sciences now. I just started this past spring and will be done with all of my pre reqs next spring, just in time to start studying for the DAT and take it next August. My question is, should I be taking more than the pre reqs ? Will it make it hard for me to get into dental schools?

No....nothing you wrote really mandates that you take more than the pre-reqs...although you could take the suggested courses that aren't required. Like microbiology, cell biology, upper level biology classes.
