1. Is calculus a requirement to have in order to apply to dental school? Calculus isn’t going well for me at all (4th time taking it). Out of my 4 attempts, I actually have an F on my transcript for the class. Would it look better if I just took the class and got a better grade? I know some schools don’t require it but it also means that my options of schools are limited which I’m okay with.

Harvard and Stony Brook are the only two dental schools I know of that require calculus. Maybe there's a couple more, but you definitely don't need it. I didn't take it and had multiple interviews and acceptances.

Did you get a "C" in any of those attempts? You should have moved on if you did.

It's definitely not a req for most schools but you may want to retake to at least pass, is it required for your major?

No out of the 4 attempts I got an F. The other times I just withdrew. I’m currently taking it now for the “4th time.”

I think Boston requires it too.

If it's not going well drop it. Do well on the DAT QR section and the other courses that "matter" for dentistry.
