So I just recently really learned about osteopathic medicine and ideals and found that I actually agree with it more than some of allopathic. I filled out the primary aacomas application but havent submitted it yet. I was planning on shadowing an osteopathic doctor in about 2 weeks (i cant do it earlier because of prior commitments). So should I wait the 2 weeks so i can write it in my primary application?

I would fill out the AACOMAS map to the best if my ability and complete it once I shadowed a DO. It'll make for a stronger application in the sense that you actually know what osteopathic physicians do.

Are you shadowing a primary care DO? Do you know about OMT?
Do you know about the history of the osteopathic profession?

Just be sure to have a thorough understanding and not just a general perception that DO is more "holistic" than MD.
