I haven't taken the PCAT and applied to Touro College of Pharmacy in NY which does not require PCAT. I was fortunately accepted
I was planning to take the PCAT in July in case I don't get accepted. Based on the school status, they will be accredited this year (thats what I heard at the Interview)
Should I just pay the deposit and go to this school or wait to take the PCAT in July and apply next year for LIU, Buffalo or Rochester
I don't want to move out of NY though!

Would it matter if I went to Touro? some frawn and some say it wouldn't matter!!!!

This is a personal decision. I hope someone else has insight into Touro or any of the other schools you've listed, but it's ultimately something you're going to have to decide for yourself.

I think the choice is obvious for you. Do it! You got accepted at a well known school, and you don't want to move out of NY. Go to Touro and don't waste more of your time and $ for the next cycle.

Don't back out unless you have a good gpa, or are sure you can get a high score on the pcat. even then interviews can go good or bad. so your best bet is probably to just go to Touro.

And what are your options for this year? If it is stay in school - when obviously it makes more sense to go to pharmacy school now and not waste another year of tuition and another year of no earnings (not to mention, pharmacy field is going to get more competitive with every year, as schools pump out more and more students). If you have a good job lined up that can help you save up some money for school, when waiting makes more sense - but only if you have a specific plan for what you want to do after graduation, which would be much easier achieved if you go to another school.

Well known? Uhhh....NO. But I still think the OP should go. The chances of them not getting accredited at this point are very very low.

A PharmD is a PharmD. As long as its an accredited institution, you will not have a problem finding a job.

Thanks All for the productive feedback above.

I currently have a high GPA (3.8) but no PCAT🙁. I was planning to take them in July however at the same time applied to see where I stand. Well, I got in🙂

After all the advise and talking to other fellows, I have decided I will be attending next semester.

Thanks team for the support!

Congrats to you on reaching a decision. Best of luck to you in pharm school.

Attending is definitely a good choice. You will lose 1 year of salary and experience if you wait out.
