Hi Everyone,

I'm a little confused with when I should submit my PharmCAS application. For example, Say I want to apply to University of Pacific. The Deadline will be Nov. 1. So by the time I get my October scores, I think the Nov. 1 will already be passed.

Should I submit my PharmCAS application, and wait for the scores to be sent to PharmCAS?

I also have the same questions for Letter of Recommendations, should I submit my pharmCAS application first, and then mail in the letters of rec?

Thank you,

Adam

yes submit your application!!!. As long as you have all your necessary requirements, LORs and personal statements done, Pharmcas will send it for you when the scores are released. By the way is that the only school you are applying to?

No, I plan on applying to many others. My GPA scores are average. I plan on applying to a lot of school out of states 🙂

I agree you should send it now. PharmCAS still needs up to 5 weeks to calculate your grades after you e-submit. You should have your LORs sent in asap too, but you don't need them to e-submit. Once they're done calculating your grades, they will send your application out to the schools.

I have a quick question: Say, I'm taking the October PCAT and it will be my first and hopefully only PCAT that I would ever take. Does PharmCAS "hold on to" my application until the October PCAT score is released? Is it too late to submit PharmCAS for schools that have February deadlines in late October?

My PharmCAS application still needs my October PCAT score, and my personal statement:scared:. (LORs and official transcripts are all set.) I am now trying to study for PCAT and draft my personal statement at the same time. Should I focus more on my PCAT or my personal statement? Or should I wait until after the October PCAT to write my personal statement?

PharmCAS won't "hold" your application for your October results. I believe they will send your application to your schools and then once they receive your results will send those too.

I had the same problem as you -- deciding if I should work on my PS or study for the test (I took the test in August). It is really up to you, but I studied for the test until it was over, and unfortunately procrastinated the hell out of my PS still. My advice is whatever you do, don't put off the PS after you take your test! I should have been able to e-submit weeks ago, but will probably only be able to in a couple week.
