Hi everyone! I’m currently facing a bit of a predicament and would really appreciate y'all's input!

I’ve been fortunate to have an acceptance at one school (School A), where I’m currently PTE'd at. However, I’m still waitlisted at my top choice (School B), and based on last year’s thread, it looks like School B does pull a few people from the waitlist in June and July.

The problem is that School A’s CTE deadline is coming up next week. I’m wondering if it’s okay to wait until the actual deadline day to CTE, just in case I get off School B’s waitlist. That said, I’ve heard from some current students that acceptance offers can possibly be rescinded (not sure how likely) even before the CTE deadline if a class becomes overfilled, which is honestly pretty scary... Additionally, Adcoms also said that I need to "CTE to fully secure my seat." So, should I hold out until the CTE deadline day or put School B behind me and just commit earlier?

I appreciated any insight! Thanks in advance!

Who is telling you this? How do they know this?

The school's policy on using CTE should be clear, and you should have until the deadline to complete the assignment. You should not be under any pressure to commit before you are supposed to. If the admissions committee overfill the class with CTE's, that's their problem.
