I'm trying to decide what I should do and can use some input.

The day the apps open up my GPA will be 3.20cum and 3.00sci. However I'm taking 6 credits of lower division science courses that last for 4 weeks during the summer. They will take up the entire month of June. I know I will get A and when I do my cumulative will increase by 0.03 and my science by 0.06.

A little info about me: 24 on DAT and good amount of shadowing dentists at clinics, dental schools, and private practices (somewhere about 150-200 hrs in total, I haven't counted up everything yet). And graduating this summer.

Do you guys and girls think its worth it for me to send in my apps a full month after they open just for this little boost in GPA? Or is it better for me to have all my apps completed and sent out as early as possible?

I think its ok, I think if your in June or July your fine.

As long as u meet the magic 3.0 I'd apply. They will see your in-progress coursework and know u have add'l grades to add. It will take AADSAS an entire month to verify your grades, so if you wait until the end of June u will actually not be complete until the end of July...
I'm on my phone so I hope I read your post accurately and this post makes sense. 🙂

Thanks for the replies guys.

Can anyone else weigh in on what they think is the better thing to do..

not worth it for that little of a boost

I'm not an expert or anything, I mean I'm not even applying to dental school until next year because I'm still a sophomore, but I am looking to seriously improve my GPA as well, and in my opinion every little bit helps.
The only issue is that, from what I've gathered from reading lots and lots of threads lately is that applying early really does help a lot, and I'm not sure if you sending in an updated transcript will delay you in that sense.

Okay I'm gonna send it right away when apps open. Being 1st batch is gonna be better than a little boost.
