I know I should apply as soon as possible, but here's my dilemma:

I graduated in may with my bachelors in biology and I'm applying for a one year masters program right now. I want to be able to put this in my application somewhere (to show the schools that I will be taking challenging courses) but it'll be 2-6 weeks until I find out if I'm in or not. My AADSAS app is pretty much ready (I have to spellcheck and tweak a few of things). Should I just submit it now or wait until I'm actually in the masters program?

I have a similar question! Anyone? What if you're borderline and you MIGHT be able to get in without the year of post bacc? Will they not let you in because they're expecting you to do that extra year? Btw which post baccs did you apply for? =)

For most schools if you say youre going to do a program they expect it to get done. Also for most schools if you start a two year masters and try to get in after the first year the schools want to see that you finish the masters, and wont accept you until the next year. I would wait to apply only if the waiting still puts you applying in the month of June. I would call a few of the schools you applioed to and ask what they think as well.

I applied for the one year pre-professional non thesis program so my masters degree will be complete in one year. This program is especially designed for people that need to either improve their grades, or they are reapplying to dental, pharm, or medical school and need something to do for a year. I fit the latter case.

My first choice is IUSD and I contacted them and they said to just go ahead and apply and update my transcript in december. The only problem I have is that I want the schools to know that I'm still working hard even though I already have a degree and I want them to consider that when they are sending out interviews...
