Hey guys,

I submitted my application for early decision at VCU and so far I have not heard anything from the school. I submitted my appli very early too. I'm sure that the committees reviewed my file already. Should I wait until I receive the formal rejection letter or should I withdraw my appli now so that I can apply to other schools????

Why can't you apply to other schools? Hell, this is America, apply to as many as you have money for.

can you not apply to other schools if you do early decision?

why don't you contact them and see where they are in the process and then decide?

I know at other schools, early decision acceptance means that you will cancel all other applications upon admission;it does not mean that you won't apply to any other schools. check to see what that schools early decision policy is.

I called VCU today and I can't apply to other schools until VCU releases me from their early applicant pool. Basically, I need to wait until I get rejected in the first round before I can do anything. It was kinda weird though because I called the school on Sept.1 to see if they've received my application. The admission office said that they have my entire application on that day. When I called today, the counselor said that the admission received my application on Sept. 9th. I can't withdraw my application either. I just have to wait for the formal rejection letter. I'm just thinking very negative about this matter.

Anyone applying to out of state schools?? I live in WA and I'm applying to a lot of schools, public and private. It's my first time applying and I'm quite nervous.
