I know as long as I take the pre-reqs required for DPT school, does my undergrad major really matter in the decision? Because I plan on making Anthropology as my major.

Your major shouldn't matter. Just appreciate your time in learning what you're interested in. Good luck.

People will give you various answers, but I'm also a firm believer than major doesn't matter. Just pick something you'll enjoy studying and will still allow you to get your prerequisites for PT in. I was an East Asian Studies Major for undergrad, and now I'm officially a DPT student. It was definitely an interesting thing to talk about during interviews.

For the purpose of acceptance into a program, no, major doesn't seem to matter. GPA and prerequisites seem to carry more weight.

In a broader sense, does major "matter"? Absolutely. Exercise science and kines majors definitely had a leg up our first semester. Bio and chem majors had an easier time with the basics in pharmacology. My education background made topics on learning styles and related topics easy. Neuroscience majors will undoubtedly benefit from their prior knowledge. The background you have, whatever it may be, will "matter" and be put to use somewhere in class or clinic.

Exactly.
