Hey everyone,

I applied to some Ph.D. programs 2 years ago and it didn't work out.... I've decided to look into more local schools this time and most of the ones in my range of possibly getting in are Psy.D. programs.... I'm looking at PCOM, La Salle, Widener, possibly Immaculata, and Lehigh's Ph.D.

Is it appropriate and/or beneficial to contact faculty for a POI in these types of programs or would it just make you look confused and or stupid about the program's goals.

Thanks everyone

No - you generally don't need to mention a POI, especially for very heavy clinical PsyD programs. For more research heavy programs like LaSalle I did mention my area of interests and the faculty member I would like to worth with. They typically aren't going to follow a rigorous mentor / mentee match like PhD will.
