I had a meeting with two of my mentors regarding the programs I visited.
One (the research heavy type) urged me to rank one particular #1 because he thinks it would help me a lot in terms of my academic career.
The other one (more laid back, hippie type) strongly advised against it because she thinks the program is way too stuffy for me (we somewhat have the same personality, that's why we got along so well). Well, I do trust her judgement a lot.
Well, one of the interviews I met at that particular program was also one of those laid back, hippie types and we had a great time talking about arts.
Should I get in touch with him and talk about fit?
