Hello,

So i feel like that girl who really likes a guy, and becomes the loser that follows him everywhere....lol. Anyway, I REALLY loved my 1st choice program and want to do everything i can to make sure i end up there. So I have sent thank you notes, i have emailed the program director to let him know i am very interested, and i am in the process of setting up a second look. I was thinking about sending an additional letter just before the ROL deadline to further let them know that they are "the one". Is this a little too much? I don't want to be annoying, but i also don't want to look back later if i don't end up there and wonder if i did everything i could. How much interest is too much?

i think you've done plenty. they ought to know you think highly of them and will be ranking them #1 based on your actions thus far. i'm antsy too, so i know how you feel. but more and more contact isn't going to help, and i do think you risk coming off annoying. remember, you're trying to convince these people to employ you for 3+ years and nobody wants a whiny employee that needs constant attention. if you're doing the second look because you really want to see what it's like on a normal day, then i'd say do it, but if it's just to further profess your love for the program, it doesn't seem necessary and you risk annoying the faculty and residents right before they make their rank list.

i know all this waiting suck - i hate it too. but you've done plenty, so now it's time to just relax and let the Match work like it's suposed to.

Another letter is too much.

Only do the 2nd visit if you really think there is something else you need to know about the program. Don't if its just to throw yourself at the PD's feet and beg him to rank you highly.

You've done enough IMHO.

Yup, that's my feeling as well. It's hard to let go and trust the process but things really do work out in the end.

That's what i thought as well... is it March YET?:scared: Thanks for the replies
