Does anyone know a good place to do a SICU rotation in Chicago. I am going into a surgical field and I want to get a good procedure heavy month in the SICU. I want to learn how to put in lines and learn Vent management. Any ideas? thank you very much!

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

It's a Trauma I center. Nurses and anxilary staff are awesome, there is minimal scut. You actually can learn purely, also if you want to do procedures it's all yours since it's mainly fellows/higher level residents that are in there who have already done billions of these procedures.

There's a lot of trauma that comes in. Hospital is very efficient.

I've heard Sinai hospital in Chicago is good for trauma as well, our residents rotate through there since Northwestern doesn't get a ton on trauma eventhough we are a level 1 center
