Sigh!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So of course, I've submitted my AMCAS app, which I now regret.

I have rejoined a volunteer program at my hospital that I did last summer for 3 months. This is my only clinical volunteer experience in the USA (I have another experience with 100+ hours out of country). I have over 500+ hours of interning/shadowing doctors in the US.

I wish I had a chance to update my AMCAS with the fact that I will indeed be spending another 3 months (this summer) working in the program.

Do you guys feel like I should take the time to update schools with this information? Will it make a large difference that I am now going from 3 months --> most likely six months when the summer ends?

as LizzyM's wonderful new signature will tell you, putting future activities on your AMCAS app is pointless. try working some details about the experience into your secondaries; you have a bit more "free reign" with what you write in those anyway.

ah, its not a future activity.

Its the same volunteering program. I'll be starting it on Monday.

(Which I guess, means, if I delayed my app by like... a week, it would have been on there. lol, or does it still not count?)

i understood what you meant in the first post. i thought you were asking for the best way to deal with this. i'm sticking with my answer: write about it in the secondaries.
