Hi everyone,

Just looking for some quick advice. I have previously worked as a scribe, and recently started a new job as an endoscopy tech/scribe in a new clinic. I definitely have a greater clinical responsibility and closer patient interactions, but I wasn’t sure if this is a significant update. For one thing, I had the other clinic listed with future hours on AMCAS, as I wasn’t expecting to leave until August but I decided to move home due to parents health concerns. I figured it would be easier to spend time with them now then during school, and I was able to get a similar, but higher paying job anyways. Could this potentially look bad? I have a lot of other good updates (volunteering, posters) but I wasn’t sure about explaining this part. Thanks for any advice you have!

Recently starting a new job or a new opportunity is rarely a reason to update. And considering you already have this listed as future on AMCAS, other that starter sooner, just what are you updating?

I think you’re right. Since I just started it’s not really much of an update anyways. Thanks!
