I haven't heard anything from some schools. At this point, is this a silent rejection? How late do schools interview? I've never heard of a March interview, although I could be wrong.

You could call a few of the programs you haven't heard from as of yet. Sometimes they don't tell you when you have been wait listed. If they end up being rejections, try not to be too discouraged. Get some advice from an administrator where your application falls a little short. Then re-apply. I hear that its more competitive than it has ever been.
Just a side note, one of my co-resident's in my specialty program, was rejected his first try to his local dental school. He did some volunteering, was excepted the next year and graduated top 10 in his class. Not being able to get in your first time around is no reflection as to what type of dentist you will become.
