I'm going on some second looks soon, and was wondering what I should wear. I'm guessing that something in between scrubs and my interview suit will work fine, but just wanted to make sure I shouldn't wear scrubs or the suit.

Maybe I should just wear my In-N-Out Burger uniform.

i recently second-looked in jeans and a fleece that broke down to scrubs for some ED obs. i didn't get sent home early or anything so i think it was fine 😀

Thanks for asking the question ST! I was wondering the same thing. 👍

I wore a dress shirt, tie, and slacks, and they kidded me for being so "dressed up." When everyone else is wearing scrubs / cargo pants, you''ll be fine if you dress anywhere at or above that level.

I wouldnt wear jeans. At my place 2nd looks are SOLELY for you.

Nothing but your white coat.

Actually, don't take the white coat, because then they would know your name too. Hmm.

where what you would wear to work in the ED. Scrubs or work-style casual.

how long did you guys usually stay at the second look?

I wore a dress shirt, tie and slacks. I hung around for about 3 hours, I kinda got bored following around a resident and I saw what I wanted to see.

I stayed for 3 hours as well and followed 3 different residents. Way more than enough!
