Sim exams: When do I plan to take em?

Hey folks,
Im 45% done with RR Goljan, 20% with UW qbank, first few Goljan audios ( until immuno) and hitting FA almost random and my exam is around first week of June.
I am plannin to take an NBME exam first week of May.
Then take another around May 15th
Than have a UW Self A done by May 25.

So that's total of three self asses exams...what do u guys reckon? How do i set them in my schedule n when? Which NBME form is d best one to do?

I already did an NBME Basic Sciences 'shelf' exam at med school in Feb n secured 250/90.

Any feeds appreciated!

Your Diagnostic exam was a 250? I think I would take maybe NBME 6-7 and finish up Uworld/Goljan and maybe even move my exam up if I was doing that well (and you do that well on NBME 6-7)

I am not sure on which form the exam was, it was a final 'shelf exam' at school,this was the NBME Basic Sciences Comprehensive exam.
But my UW is givin me a hard time..im averaging on 50% and im almost done wid 20% of d qbank....so I dunno what to say???

strange. i took a mandatory NBME and got a 195, however my UWorld is around 62% (with about 450 questions done) and I still haven't really started studying.

Maybe you should take another NBME sooner to see how you are really doing. If you can replicate that 250 again, you should be more than set

how did you get 250/90? I thought a 250 was w/ a 99?

The comprehensive exams bought by some schools are scored differently than NBME's or the Step. For the comp exams 70 raw = 200 3-digit Step equivalent (and I highly doubt 70 refers to percent either, but I'm not positive and have no proof) and it is linearly scaled from there where every 1 point of the raw = 2.5 points on the 3 digit. The NBME's and the Step have a completely different form of scoring, so that's how the poster has a 250/90.

I tried to look for a link on the NBME site, but couldn't find it. I still had an old printout from when we took it.

Ok I see, thanks! btw did you set up clinicals yet? I am still on the island preparing for 5th sem. and looking in to where I want to do them when I leave
