Who cares about a school's "pre-med" program? Apparently all that amounts to is you getting horrible advice from someone who is completely clueless about the process. Just take the required classes, and SDN will guide you through the rest. 😎

Anybody know anything about this school's pre med.

I am applying.

Are you a sophomore/junior in high school? If you are, then go for it. Otherwise I don't think they allow anyone else to enter, but check out their website. I couldn't find conclusive evidence that shows that it's only for sophomore/juniors, but just double check.
Pre-med is a track; what you're looking for is getting through the track with a 4.00 at best. Pick a major, get good grades and you'll be set for med school. Any college is fine for pre-med. However, you should look for ones where you'll succeed.
Also be on the look out for research-intensive universities because they give you openings to attempt research. At the least, you'll be able to get into a lab and do something, boosting your resume for med school. Another thing, look for a hospital nearby so that you can volunteer/shadow physicians during your college years.
