UC Irvine, UC Davis, UC Merced, or Rockhurst?

Which would be a better choice for pre-med? UC Davis and UC Irvine are biomedical engineering, UC Merced biological sciences and Rockhurst biochemistry.

With scholarship and financial aid Rockhurst is cheapest, with UC Merced a close second.

The UC's are very renown public institutes so you really can not go wrong with them. They will provide you with a great education as well as great research opportunities. The best option for you is to simply visit each campus and see for yourself. Attend the University that you feel most comfortable with because it will be your home for 4 years. I know that UC Davis and Irvine both have Medical Schools which will provide you with opportunities in terms of volunteering, shadowing, and research. Something to keep into account due the budget cuts the UC's as well as the CSU's are suffering. You may run into difficulty when trying to acquire some classes. I do not know much about Rockhurst but I do know it is a private university you will never have problems getting a class there. Like I said before you should visit each campus and go to the one that you feel most comfortable at. Like incessantly discussed on this forum your undergraduate institution has little if any impact on your admissions to Medical School.

Do not chose UC Merced, since it is still fairly new.
Visit Davis and Irvine, they vary in weather, demographics, etc if you want biomedical.
In addition, biochemistry and biomedical are different, did you do research on the differences? Plus, did you think about the pro's and con's for you? There seems to be nothing much of your opinions on your post?

All UCs are good, but yeah, I would stay away from merced. Davis is my personal favorite.
