If y = (3+4)/(x+6), then which of the following represents x?
A.x= (3-6y)/(y-4)

B. x=(6y-4)/(y-3)

C. x=(6-4y)/(3-y)

D. x=(3y-4)/(6-y)

E. x=(4-6y)/(y-3)

How is the answer E? SHouldn't i see a 7 somewhere? Thx pllz.

either you copied the problem down incorrectly or the problem has an error because none of those answers are the answer to that problem, from what i have gathered

I think it should be y = (3x + 4) / (x+6) and there's a typo there.

y(x+6) = 3x + 4
xy + 6y = 3x + 4
xy - 3x = 4 - 6y
x(y-3) = 4 - 6y

x = (4-6y) / (y-3)
