Great. I got a life. That's something a lot of nonpsychiatric residents don't have.
how are your personal lives?
Fine, thanks. How's yours?
how are your personal lives?
Ahhh, the question so many of my therapy patients fantasize about me answering.

A surprisingly quiet long weekend at the OPD household. We only had to physically restrain the children from inflicting grave bodily harm upon each other 2-3 times a day, as opposed to the hourly usual. Situation was perhaps helped by LittleMissPsychDoc's 24 hour sojourn at grandma's, and by HeWhoMustNotBeNamed's resumption of sleeping all day, only emerging to harass his smaller siblings during refrigerator raids. OPD watched football, hung lights on the outside of the house, and dealt with two nuisance calls from the inpatient unit about patients getting bored with the long holiday weekend.

LOL that was not too bad. ! I get the best kick when the medicine and surgery residents tell me they start at 5.00AM sometimes 4.30 AM, I start at 7.45 AM-8.00AM.

They will probably keep asking too. Of course, there are those who believe insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result.....so for some, this interaction makes perfect sense.
(tongue in cheek)
