Well here's another issue going on with Sinai now 🙁

Mount Sinai won't be performing any more transplants, at least for the time being. The State of New York Dept. of Health has fined the facility $48,000 for deficiencies in Hurewitz's postoperative care and shut the program down for at least six months.

I think that the issue here is not with Sinai, but instead, with live transplant surgeries. Mt. Sinai is a leading hospital in transplants, and there is still much to be learned about such operations.

only the live-liver donor transplants are being stopped, all other liver transplants (well over 90%) will continue. even with this tragedy, sinai still has one of the highest 5-year survival rates in the world.
