I’ve seen medical students in the past talk about how they sacrificed some of their preclinical grades and studying time For classes in favor of studying for Step 1. This was especially true at some schools whose curriculum is not as geared towards Step 1.
Since the exam will most likely be P/F for the class of 2024 should we prioritize class rank, preclinical grades(if you go to a school that gives grades), and research over studying for Step 1? Or should we still put more focus into Step 1? Does Step 1 score make a better Step 2 score?
Thank you for any input that you can give. Congrats to my fellow classmates!
